The SANEXT “GAS” pipes are made of the high-quality low-pressure high-density polyethylene (PE 100) in accordance with GOST-R 50838-95, using the EU last generation equipment.
- Their operating life is considerably longer than that of steel pipes (guaranteed operating life is 50 years, the actual operating life is 100 years).
- Corrosion resistant, cathode protection or maintenance unrequired.
- Not sensitive to contact with water and resistant to most corrosive mediums.
- Polyethylene pipes delivery capacity does not decrease over the time (the inner surface is not occluded).
- 2 to 4 times lighter than steel pipes, facilitating transportation and assembly.
- Most dimension-types of the SANEXT “GAS” pipes are produced in big lengths, making for minimum number of joints per 1 km of the SANEXT pipeline, compared to a steel pipeline.
- SANEXT “GAS” pipes butt-seam welding is fully automated; it is much cheaper, easier, faster and more reliable. The polyethylene butt-seam needs no additional materials (insulation, electrodes), minimizing the need for quality control with ultrasonic check.
